  1. I was very interested in how you talked about the benefits about people immigrating and also the not so good things. I never thought about mixed classrooms until you brought it up. That brings up a good point because I didn’t think about it in depth until after reading your blog. It really interests me about all the people speaking different languages in one classroom. Did you experience actually being in a mixed classrooms or are you sharing your experience or are you saying it about someone else’s?


    • Hi Jalynn, I have been in classrooms with international students and exchange students. They come already very proficient in English, but they were not who I had in mind. I have not really been in a very mixed classroom, but I did teach English to immigrants a couple years ago. There were students who could barely string a sentence together, while others can have deep conversations. It was more of a tutoring place, but I wondered how different it would be to teach people on both of the extremes simultaneously.
